Home made Turkish Sausage: Sucuk (fresh, butcher style)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lamb or 1 pound ground veal.I think lamb is better, but try each and combo if you can

  • 1 to 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt

  • 2 teaspoons each ground black pepper, ground sweet paprika, ground hot red pepper

  • 3 teaspoons ground cumin

  • 3-4 cloves minced garlic

Instructions

  • Mixed all spices in a bowl

  • Using garlic press - or finelly chop- add the garlic


  • Add the ground meat and using glove mix very well

  • Let it rest overnight in a fridge for better taste

  • You can wrap them using stretch film or just leave in a container.

Usually it's a staple for Turkish breakfasts with eggs, but can be just sauteed and add to pasta, or in grilled cheese sandwich.
